Heating technology Symposium 2019 was successfully held in Lhasa from July 31 to August 2, 2019. The symposium was sponsored by China Academy of Building Research and China Innovation Alliance for HVAC,  supported by Air Conditioning Heat Pump Committee of China Refrigeration Society and the Construction Industry Association of Tibet Autonomous Region and Haier Central Air Conditioning. The theme of the symposium was Clean Heating, Suitable to Local Conditions.

In his speech, Chairman Xu Wei pointed out that in the past three years, clean heating has been carried out in full swing throughout the country. For 26 key cities in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei polluted corridor, 11 cities in Fenwei Plain, and 40 cities in China, including the Olympic city Zhangjiakou and Xiongan New Area, the central government has made a huge amount of financial investment. Many houses and farmers in Tibet have imperfect heating facilities and heating modes in winter, therefore, clean heating and renewable energy heating in Tibet are the trend of future development. It is hoped that through technical exchanges at this meeting, the suitable heating methods and technologies will be explored under such a special geographical condition as Tibet.
